Department of Tourism and Leisure Management
Distinguishing Characteristics
Aiming at upgrading the quality of leisure life in Taiwan, the Department of Leisure is committed to educate and train students to become knowledgeable and capable of leisure management and information technology to meet the needs of the public sector and private enterprises. Established in 2002, the department started enrolling undergraduate students in 2002 and students of extension and continuing education program in 2003.

Department of Recreational Sports Management
Distinguishing Characteristics
The department aims to educate and train students to become knowledgeable and capable talents in recreational sport leisure, ensuring that its students will be easily employed once leaving YDU. It provides integrated courses related to sports health leisure, and sports industry leisure. These courses are planned by professionals in the fields of academics and industries so as to meet the requirements of the sports industry. Students are equipped with the capabilities of Plan and leisure of Sport Facility, fitness conducting, project marketing & planning, sorts planning & leisure, sport marketing services, and sports public relations.
Prospective Job Options
1. Undergraduates can locate jobs in recreational sport leisure fields or marketing and leisure for sport game project, packaging recreational event, gym, sales, managers, and project planners.
2. Those who already get certificates from international institutions such as AFAA, YMCA and the government are suitable for being fitness conductors, life savors, leisure sports conductor, referees, and coaches
for various competitions, project managers, planner & manager of sport facility.

Department of Hospitality Management

1. The department emphasizes the conducting of hospitality leisure core courses.
2. The department focuses on the cultivation of skills related to hospitality leisure.
3. The aim of the department is to foster middle-level managers and professionals of hospitality industry.
4. Emphasis is made on hand-on practice of bar tendering, food and beverage service, room service, culinary skills, baking skill courses. Experienced instructors are invited.
5. Professional courses include theory and practice of room service, food and beverage, culinary skills and practice.

Department of Fashion Styling and Design
Distinguishing Characteristics
This department aims to put art into daily life and make daily life become art-like. Students will be equipped with designing skills to satisfy human’s needs for beauty and further to lead the new trend. The department mainly concentrates on fashion styling, including designing skills in make-up, beauty treatments, fashionable dress, and fashion shows. Besides, students are trained to have esthetic sensibilities and thinking, and their designing concepts will be strengthened. Focusing on plastic design, cultural media, and marketing, the department will invite domestic and foreign fashion masters to hold seminars and combine the department with local industries.
Prospective Job Options
1. Creative design in the fashion industries: fashion make-up, clothing and textiles, jewelries and accessories, and overall styling.
2. Management in the fashion industries: image advisor, overall styling design, and performance clothing design.
